Anderson, SC January 16, 2012 -- Zoltes, a leading provider in test solutions for Data Centers, Voice and Video Technologies announces a new product release Zoltes Media Analyzer.
Zoltes Media Analyzer (ZMA) provides an easy and effective way to monitor and analyze traffic in TelePresence and video collaboration systems providing a unique solution for troubleshooting multiplexed, primary and secondary video streams, including voice traffic, for TelePresence endpoints running SIP or H.323. ZMA provides end user experience measurements and in depth protocol analysis making the product a must have in tech support organizations, service provider and enterprise environments.
ZMA includes support for SIP RFC 3261, SDP RFC 2327 and ITU-T H.323 version 7. ZMA supports ITU-T H.263 and H.264 video codecs. The comprehensive set of audio codecs comprises of ITU-T G.711, G.722, G.722.1, G.723.1, G.726, G.728, G.729, G.729A, G.729I, AMRNB, AMRWB, AMRWBE, SPEEX NB, SPEEX WB, and GSM full rate.
ZMA provides Quality of Service measurements using MDI (Quality of Video) and MOS (Quality of Voice) metrics.
Videoconferencing and Telepresence system manufacturers, integrators, and service providers are facing a complex task…to provide participants with real world quality of audio and video connections to other locations in a cost-effective manner. Therefore, the manufacturers and the integrators are forced to keep up with three interdependent variables: video resolution, frame rate, and bandwidth.
Ideally, the telepresence systems would provide the best possible video quality by maximizing both video resolution and frame rate. Things are more complicated in reality. For example, there is a limit of processing power of such systems, which forces one to decide optimizing frame rate and optimizing resolution. Using compression to minimize the bandwidth requirements can induce signal degradation and additional latency. Using compression is very important in video transmission, but excessive signal compression could lead the video quality to decrease below the acceptable customer experience level.
This is why we developed our tool providing telepresence and videoconferencing systems and services vendors a way to fine tune and troubleshoot video and audio transmissions, dependent upon the problems they are trying to solve or the markets they are addressing.
ZMA directly integrates with the multichannel Zoltes Fax Monitor and Analyzer. Zoltes Fax Monitor and Analyzer monitors and/or decodes the fax transmissions over T1/ E1/ Analog and IP lines, accurately demodulating and decoding the raw fax data transmissions. ZMA tracks calls across the PSTN and IP Networks and easily combines them in side-by-side analysis.
The fax capabilities include G.711 pass-through, T.38 (V 0,1,2,3), V.34 hdx, V.17, V.29, V.27, V.21, T.30, T4/ T6, Tiff and JPEG image decoding.
